What HRCP is, in one paragraph
HRCP, the Human Resource Certification Preparation program, sells study materials for HR certification exams. It is a prep provider, not a certifying body. HRCI awards the PHR and SPHR, SHRM awards the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP, and HRCP prepares candidates for those exams. HR Prep Hub is independent of all three.
HRCP reports that it has helped HR professionals prepare for certification since 1995 and that more than 100,000 professionals have used its materials. Those are HRCP’s own figures, not independently verified by HR Prep Hub.
What the program includes
HRCP offers a structured, self-paced study program with study units, flashcards, and practice assessments, covering both HRCI and SHRM exam tracks. For current products and prices, see HRCP’s site.
Who it fits, and who should look elsewhere
The program fits self-directed learners who want one package covering both HRCI and SHRM tracks, including aPHR candidates, and who are comfortable studying mostly alone. If you want live instruction, ask whether a local HRCP partner offers a prep course. If you already own solid study notes for one credential, buying the whole package for a second credential may be more material than you need.
A new edition is coming
A new edition of the HRCP study program is coming. For the latest release details, products, and prices, see hrcp.com.
Bottom line
HRCP’s program is a large, exam-focused study package, not a shortcut and not a certification itself. Its value depends on whether you will actually work through the practice assessments, which is where exam prep usually succeeds or fails. Buy it for the credential you are eligible for, confirm eligibility on hrci.org or shrm.org first, and treat any prep program’s pass-rate claims with the same skepticism you would apply to any other marketing claim.
